Key Responsibilities
- Ensure GIMO’s business operations comply with relevant financial, data privacy, and corporate regulations, both locally and internationally;
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements;
- Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and corporate filings;
- Identify potential legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate them while enabling business growth (as part of Risk Management Council);
- Manage legal disputes and liaise with external counsel on litigation and arbitration matters when required;
- Assist in developing and updating internal policies to ensure legal compliance and best practices;
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Business teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business strategies;
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry trends to provide proactive legal guidance.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Law (LLB or LLM). Qualified to practice law in Vietnam;
- 5+ years of experience in a legal role, preferably within fintech, banking, or corporate law firms;
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations, contract law, data protection laws, and corporate governance;
- Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts;
- Strong ability to analyze legal issues and provide clear, business-friendly solutions;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters with accuracy and efficiency;
- A practical, solution-focused approach with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
