Role Overview
As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping GIMO’s risk strategy,
ensuring robust credit policies, and optimizing risk-reward trade-offs. You will lead the
development of risk assessment models, monitor portfolio performance, and implement
best practices to mitigate credit risks while supporting business growth. This is an exciting

Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Policy Development: Design, implement, and continuously refine credit
risk policies, frameworks, and underwriting strategies to support business
objectives. - Risk Assessment & Decisioning: Develop, enhance, and maintain credit scoring
models, risk rating methodologies, and lending decision frameworks. - Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Analytics: Monitor and analyze portfolio performance,
identify emerging risks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain a healthy
credit portfolio. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to
credit risk management, including local and international financial regulations. - Data-Driven Risk Insights: Leverage advanced analytics, AI, and alternative data
sources to enhance credit decision-making and improve risk management practices - Fraud Prevention & Detection: Implement fraud detection tools and frameworks to
proactively identify and mitigate potential fraud risks. - Risk Governance & Reporting: Develop and maintain risk governance processes,
provide regular risk reporting to senior management, and recommend actionable
insights. - Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science,
Operations, and Business teams to align risk strategies with overall company goals.
Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team and board, providing insights into
emerging risks and mitigation approaches.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a
related field (Master’s degree is a plus). - Experience: 7+ years of experience in risk management, credit risk management,
preferably in digital lending, fintech or banking services. - Technical Skills: Strong expertise in credit scoring, risk modeling, and portfolio
management. Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS is
highly desirable. - Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of credit risk management, digital lending
practices and lending products. - Mindset: Ability to analyze large datasets, derive meaningful insights, and make
data-driven decisions. Strong commercial awareness to balance risk and business
growth objectives effectively in a fast-paced dynamic and lean working environment. - Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross
functional stakeholders, and communicate complex risk concepts clearly to non
technical audiences.
